We are always on the lookout to find value in the growing middle-market, with a particular emphasis on the Sun Belt region. Each of our investments are made according to an established set of investment criteria, across specific target sectors. The firm’s focus is on the lower end of the middle market – typically businesses ranging in enterprise value from $50 million to $150 million at acquisition – where the principals expect to execute two or three platform transaction per year with an average equity investment of $25 million to $50 million. SunTx targets control transactions, taking an active approach to post-acquisition value building that extends well beyond financial engineering. In particular, SunTx focuses on companies that posses strong growth prospects and a leading specialty or niche in the market, as well as on companies that are underperforming but ripe for operational improvement.
